Alexander Armstrong is a British television personality. He is notably the host of Pointless.

Armstrong served as host in a notable episode of Have I Got News for You which featured Vivienne Rook on Paul Merton's team. When Armstrong acknowledged that Germany was in mourning following the death of Angela Merkel, Rook made the shocking remark of "good riddance", adding her view that "the world just got a whole lot prettier." This led Ian Hislop to comment that Rook had "a great future in politics", which Rook took as a compliment. (Episode 1)

Later, Armstrong hosted an episode of Pointless Celebrities in which Vivienne Rook participated and won. (Episode 2)
